Hugh Wallace, Managing Director, founded Glendevon Energy in 2005 to serve the Renewables market. We are an MCS and RECC accredited company, Scottish owned and managed. We work with commercial and domestic customers — installing/maintaining low carbon heating systems and developing/ maintaining hydro schemes. We have also recently partnered with Canada’s SSES to bring the Coanda Screen Cleaning System to the UK Hydro market. Our proven track record and long term relationships with customers are testimony to the quality and value that we offer – we will tailor our services to meet your needs.

Flagship projects have included founding the Rumbling Bridge Community Hydro Scheme, the first ever solar thermal panels in a Unesco World Heritage Site, a wood pellet system for a Grand Design at Strathaven Airfield, an award winning wood chip installation at Whittaker Engineering, a hot water heat pump in a fully certified Passivhaus, air source heat pumps for the Good House Company and a 90kW ground source heat pump with 4,000m of ground pipe in Fife. Existing customers include homeowners, self builders, construction firms, SMEs, schools, hotels, cafes, Fish Farms, agricultual farms, estates, factories, Churches, utility companies, local authorities, housing associations, community groups, architects and M&E companies.

Hugh also does consultancy and development work, and is a Director of the Rumbling Bridge Community Hydro Society. Hugh has a law degree, a background in finance, and practical experience of construction and heating projects.
