Following the success of the owner’s first biomass system at Barnyards Farm, Glendevon Energy have now installed a second system for Neil Smith at Murthill Farm.
This ETA HACK 200 wood chip system is providing heat to dry wood chips for the Barnyards Farm District Heating Scheme as well as heating the Blacksmith’s workshop, and two neighbouring domestic properties. The system qualifies for the Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and comprises the wood chip boiler and 5,000L buffer tank with 100m of buried heat main linking the boiler with the properties, while internal runs heat the office radiator system and fan heaters for chip drying and workshop heating.
