Private client looking to replace their aged gas boiler with a carbon neutral solution. After thorough analysis of heat pumps and biomass boilers they opted for a Windhager 26kW BioWIN Exclusiv manual feed boiler. This was the first Windhager wood pellet boiler installed in Scotland.
A pellet boiler was considered more suitable than a heat pump in this large and relatively old (hard to heat) property with a radiator distribution system.
A 3sqm Viessmann vacuum tube solar thermal system with twin coil hot water cylinder was also installed by Glendevon Energy. This reduces pellet consumption for hot water by approximately 60%.
