Glendevon Energy installed two Energy Cabins, one for the Forestry Commission’s Lochaber District Office (featured here) and a second for their Galloway District Office.
Clad in Perthshire larch this cabin houses a 35kW Windhager BioWIN wood pellet boiler with 11 tonne pellet store. It was retrofitted to replace electric heating system and qualifies for the Renewable Heat Incentive.
The Glendevon Energy Cabin is manufactured off site, incorporating wood pellet boiler system and pellet storage. Installation includes boilers, distribution controls, flue, district pipe work, pellet storage and electrics. Benefits to off-site manufacture include minimal disruption on-site, and reduced installation risk.
