Glendevon Energy installed a 100kW wood chip boiler for McTaggart Construction in Dalry, North Ayreshire. The Guntamatic PowerChip 100kW boiler with 2,000L buffer tank heats a joinery workshop and Head Office. Waste wood recovered from building sites is chipped and feeds the boiler; the boiler and fuel store are both in the new build extension shown to the right.
McTaggart are delighted with the installation which has reduced their waste disposal costs and fuel costs, whilst also generating income from the Renewable Heat Incentive.
